I recently transitioned from a nearly 40 year career as a medical clinician and didactic educator, touching the lives of people and families, too numerous to count. As I faced retirement, I realized how ill prepared I was to navigate this new financial industry that I was quickly becoming a part of. It was not until I was introduced to the World System Builder 30 by 30 Financial Literacy Campaign, that I fully understood the impact that not being financially prepared has on us as a people. In WSB, our mission is to educate 30 million families by 2030 on how to improve their financial well being.

I became licensed in the state of Texas within two months of joining the organization and have expanded my business to include licensure in five states in the US. I implemented a manual to assist with the onboarding process for our new team members. I function as team licensing coordinator, assisting new members to become fully licensed, giving them the ability to offer personal financial solutions to those that need it.

The past nearly 24 months have touched me so deeply that I am determined to share my knowledge and expertise, thereby leaving a legacy of creating generational wealth in communities of color to improve the financial position of those that come after me.

My goal is to reach and teach as many young legacy builders as I can to pave the way for future generations to improve their financial status in our society.
